I’m Abi, a writer, editor, and creator based in Washington, D.C. I’m currently a freelancer, writing articles about local happenings for 730DC; working as the programs coordinator for local literary nonprofit, The Inner Loop; and producing the Not For Everyone, The Inner Loop Radio, and The Opportunist podcasts. In 2022, I created the podcast We’re Here with Melissa Wade.
A graduate of George Mason University’s MFA program, I’m at work on a collection of essays about growing up Mormon in Utah. You can find some of my writing in The Rumpus, The American Scholar, and Mud Season Review, among other literary journals, and on my Substack, abinewhouse.substack.com.
When I’m not working, I’m actually probably still working. But I like exploring D.C., escaping to natural spaces whenever possible, and cuddling with my cat, who is a total nut.
If you want to work together or just say hi, send me an email via the form below. You can also follow me on Instagram @abinewhouse, but fair warning: my personal content is all nonsense.
Let’s work together.
